Black LED spider web lights drape the corner of the dorm room. A Beetlejuice poster and a Halloween pillow that reads “spells, curses, books of shadows” found at Marshall’s for $3 give the room a wicked charm.
Civil engineering student Evan Chiriboga’s gothic dorm room aesthetic emits an eerie vibe perfect for Halloween, and her DIY decorations and materials add a spooky finish.
“All of my posters and the lights were free,” Chiriboga said. “I got them at a dinky shop in LA. They had a sale-slash-free-getting-rid-of box in the corner of the store.”
Spooky season has arrived, and the time to add a bit of ghostly decor is here. With little effort and under $15, have a spooky-good time creating these five DIY Halloween decorations. Two of these fang-tastic decorations take less than 30 minutes to craft.
