The famous Puerto Rican reggaetonero Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, also known as Bad Bunny, brings “El Último Tour Del Mundo” to the city of angels, making it an unforgettable experience that I recommend to everyone whether you’re a Bad Bunny fan or not.
After streaming an exclusive concert around the streets of New York during the pandemic on top of a moving vehicle in late 2020, Bad Bunny returns to the arenas to give fans what they have wanted, a real Bad Bunny concert experience with a live performance.
On Feb. 9, Bad Bunny kicked off El Último Tour del Mundo in Denver’s Ball Arena and traveled to the West Coast in his iconic tractor-trailer, where he held three sold-out concerts. The first concert took place in the Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 24, followed by the other two shows held at The Forum on Feb. 25 and Feb. 26.
When I entered the arena, I felt excited, nervous and anxious because I was finally here after waiting for two long years that felt like forever. As I walked up to my seat, I took a moment and stood by the staircase, looking around the arena where thousands of Bad Bunny fans waited for his arrival.
After I found my seat, I saw that each armrest had its own LED light bracelet, which had the image of the unmissable big rig truck.
At 9:30 p.m., the reggaetonero arrived in his semi-truck, also taking the place of his main stage. The tractor-trailer opened from the top. I felt the adrenaline in my body as my heart raced, and that was when Bad Bunny rose from the truck with a skull microphone and opened the concert with the hit song “El Mundo es Mío.”
After several months of anticipation, I was finally here, watching my favorite artist Bad Bunny from the stands. Everything felt so surreal. The prolonged wait for tickets was worth every second, minute and hour.
The concert’s first half included all the tracks from Bad Bunny’s recent album “El Último Tour del Mundo.”
When Bad Bunny performed his song “Antes Que Se Acabe,” I placed my phone down and stopped recording because this song is more than a song to me. It’s a song that I’ve personally connected to during a tough time in my life. I’ve listened to this song millions of times but hearing it live was a whole different euphoric experience. Goosebumps covered my body as all the fans, including myself, sang to the song.
The concert’s second half included the songs from the album “YHLQMDLG”. It also included recent collaborations such as “Lo Siento BB:/” featuring Julieta Venegas and “Volví” featuring Aventura following several others.
Ocasio performed “Una Vez” with Mora, his special guest and only guest of the night. The performance was phenomenal. Both Ocasio and Mora sang with intense passion and emotion as phone camera flashes sparkled around the arena.
During his performance, Bad Bunny slightly paused the concert and took a moment to thank his fans for listening to his music and always loving and supporting him. I felt honored to be part of the crowd and be part of this long-awaited world tour. Ocasio’s speech encouraged his fans to pursue their dreams and mentioned how he was a little child from Puerto Rico with big dreams and desires.
“If you have love for it, passion for it, and believe in that idea, do not stop doing it, much less because of the comments of people who do not have the vision you have,” said Bad Bunny.
Toward the concert’s end, the Puerto Rican reggaetonero sang back-to-back anthems “Yo Perreo Sola” and “Safaera,” where everyone in The Forum jumped out of their seats and danced to these iconic songs, singing the lyrics word forword.
Bad Bunny closed off the night with the hit song “Dakiti,” where confetti showered from the ceiling throughout the whole arena. As Ocasio concluded the concert, fans kept chanting that they wanted more. As he walked off the stage, the entire set turned black, and all the lights turned back on.
That was when everything felt as if it was a dream, a dream you wake up from wondering if it was real or not.
Bad Bunny’s concert was the most captivating experience ever. I was able to sing from the top of my lungs, destress myself, forget about the outside world for a moment and enjoy the concert from start to finish.
Bad Bunny’s “The World’s Hottest Tour” will be hosted at the SoFi Stadium on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, and tickets are available now.
