Frag Fest returns for campus ESports community

Cal Poly Pomona’s Bronco ESports team held their fall Frag Fest on Oct. 21 at the College of Business Administration, inviting the gaming community to an evening of fun-filled competition, energy drinks and pizza.

The free event brought many gamers to compete and spectators to cheer them on. The lecture halls and classrooms in the business buildings became gaming rooms, lit up by monitors and PCs, with each room playing a different game.

A wide variety of games were played during the fall Frag Fest, which included Valorant, Apex Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and a few other titles.

Frag Fest was made possible by many Bronco ESports sponsors, like Red Bull, Seasonic and others.

Here are some moments from the event:

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, being played here by two attendees, was just one of the many fighting games available to attendees.

For more classic, button-combo folks, Tekken 7 was available to play throughout the night as well.

Vice President of Bronco Esports Jason Kison announced raffle winners for prizes to attendees as part of the night’s events.

Fans of first-person shooters had many options, one of them being Valorant, among many others.

Classic and retro game fans indulged in older titles like Super Smash Bros. Melee as well as many other games.
