Volleyball splits weekend

The women’s volleyball team has been on a traveling spree in their first weeks of conference.

The Broncos took on the Tritons from UC San Diego on Friday night. The Broncos dominated the first set and ended off with a win, 25-21.

After winning the first set, the Broncos’ wanted to keep their winning streak. They rallied through and won the second set with the ending score of 25-23. The Broncos cut it close and they didn’t want to have that happen again.

Both teams took on the third set at full speed and fought through it, but it was the Broncos who took the big win.. The set went to 29-27, and left the Broncos with a sweep against the Tritons on their home court.

Overall, the Broncos traveled to win and took the victory 3-0.

On Saturday night, the Broncos took on Cal State San Marcos, falling 0-3.

Junior middle blocker Ally Wilder ended the night with eight kills, while freshman opposite hitter Daisy Duke trailed right behind her with six.
