Review: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro/Max, Will You Upgrade?

The iPhone season is upon us once again. It is time to decide if an upgrade is worth it or to stay with last year’s model for one more year. Staying in the trend with regards to new technology isn’t easy for your wallet, but is it necessary in the end? That choice is only up to you.

Introducing this year’s three new phones: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, all with different features that help make them fit for a variety of people. So here’s a rundown of all three models.

The iPhone 11 is the affordable model. It includes two 12 megapixel camera lenses, an hour longer battery life, comes in six colors and begins at $699. The 6.1-inch display will withstand immersion in two meters of water, allows 4k footage and will be available in three storage capacities.

Apple has helped make this model a reliable option for those who want the new specs without a hole in their pocket.

As for the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, both are the stars of the show. With an all-new Super Retina XDR Display, the phones also have up to 4-5 hours longer battery life. It’s the biggest revolution with its triple 12 megapixel wide, ultra-wide and telephoto lenses.

Both models come in all-new midnight green colors apart from their traditional gold, silver and space gray.

The starting price for the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro is $999, and 6.5 iPhone 11 Pro Max is $1099.

The New York Times has analyzed if it’s worth it for customers to upgrade if they already have an iPhone X/Xs. Given how there’s a new phone every year, the temptation to get the newest model is sometimes high. They suggest not to upgrade if the phone is not at least five years old.

Technology will only keep growing and one should be patient to see what’s next. (an American media website that reviews technology and consumer electronics globally) describes the meaning behind the “pro” name on the more expensive iPhone models. Apple has decided to input this name “Pro” on MacBooks and iPads but not on phones. When comparing the capacity of the iPhone 11 and the Pro models, they both function the same way. However, the camera strength gives the iPhone 11 Pro Max a small advantage.

Overall, this doesn’t outshine the iPhone 11 Pro with the ability to be a great piece in the end.

Lastly, (an American technology news media network operated by Vox Media) considers rethinking iPhone purchases depending on camera quality or a great smartphone overall that’s $300 less.

Without a doubt, the iPhone 11 will be a popular phone for its bright colors and great features with its unbeatable price. Yet, iPhone 11 Pro/Max will remain as the top phone in customers’ eyes with the only issue being its whopping $1000 cost.

All iPhone models are available in store or online. The only question left to answer is: Will you be upgrading this year?
