A celebration for LA: Dodgers celebrate back-to-back titles

By Cesar Rivas, November 12, 2025

After defeating the Toronto Blue Jays in a winner takes all game seven, the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated back-to-back World Series Championships with more than 200,000 fans Nov. 3, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles

The Dodgers are the first team in 25 years to win consecutive titles since the New York Yankees had a three-peat from 1998-2000. This is the Dodgers’ ninth title, tying for third place with the Boston Red Sox and the Athletics.

After the parade, the Dodgers hosted a championship celebration at Dodger Stadium, where fans were met with a performance by DJ Mustard and speeches from players like Shohei Ohtani, Clayton Kershaw and Kiké Hernandez.

Many fans elected to take the MetroLink to LA Union Station to not only beat Monday morning traffic, but also avoid the many streets in downtown LA that would be closed for the parade. Cesar Rivas | The Poly Post

Since she was unable to attend last year’s celebration, marketing management student Abigail Tokuhara said she was not going to miss out on the opportunity this time around.

“This takes the cake for sure,” Tokuhara said. “My family has been Dodgers’ fans for as long as I can remember. The Dodgers winning shows that anything is possible.”

Economics student Donaldo Ruvalcaba mentioned the Dodgers’ struggle during the regular season with poor performances and injuries.

“This team struggled for the majority of the season, and for them to make the World Series is impressive in and of itself,” Ruvalcaba said. “The World Series showed how resilient they are. Even going through those rough patches, they did everything they did everything possible to win.”

Ruvalcaba mentioned the joy he had watching Kershaw win his third World Series.

“This series also means more because they got the win for Vesia and Kershaw,” Ruvalcaba said. “Easily my favorite moment of the season was seeing Kershaw getting 3,000 strikeouts.
