Wendy Ayala | sociology student

“I really like Cal Poly Pomona’s campus environment. CPP was close to home, and it felt like the right choice. CPP offers a lot of support and guidance for their students. I am excited to explore more of the campus!”

Carlos G Monteon | landscape architecture student

“I chose CPP due to the location and because of its amazing Landscape Architect program! I’m originally from San Jose, CA and moving here was hard since I don’t have much family in this area. However, taking on the challenge of “growing up” and experiencing the college life was always a goal of mine. Thankfully CPP gave me the opportunity to explore and enjoy these experiences by accepting me.”

Billy Strowbridge | electromechanical engineering systems technology

“I chose to attend Cal Poly Pomona to pursue my goals and further my education in Engineering. I’m a transfer student and one thing I noticed about Cal Poly Pomona is the level of professionalism. The devotion of students around me is a refreshing change and is what I was looking for when I chose to transfer here.”

Kylee Kamansky | psychology student

“I chose to attend CPP because my dad works here. I have always known that this school was a great campus with lots of hands-on learning experience.”

Neeco Fabro Jr. | landscape architecture student

“I chose to attend CPP due to how ideal the environment, pricing, and the quality of the program was for my major. I wanted to become a Landscape Architect early on and I deemed CPP as the perfect school to attend to get the education for it. I thought the pricing of the school was perfect for me and my family. Visiting this campus for the first time, I felt more at home here than the other schools I’ve visited.”

Richard Shaffer | mechanical engineering student

“I did research in high school and found that CPP had a great mechanical engineering program. I also read that CPP was a more hands on school with hands on experience. I also had recommendations from family friends that were engineers to attend CPP.”

Michelle Chang | hospitality management student

“I really like CPP because it is close to my house. I chose to attend CPP because I have family members that are alumni. I really love the school colors and the entire vibe of the school.”

Joseph Castro | mathematics student

“I chose to attend CPP for the environment, the classes that are offered, and being given the chance to get my masters along with my teachers credentials at the same time.”

Leticia Diaz | Mechanical Engineering

“I chose to attend Cal Poly Pomona from my cousin’s recommendation of the overall atmosphere of the school. Not to mention the higher amount of hands-on lab experience offered by the engineering program here.”

Noemi Orozco | communication student

“I chose to attend CPP because I wanted to have a good distance between home, while also being in a new setting. This school has great programs for students and allows a great welcoming environment”
