Rape at University Village under investigation

A rape at the University Village was reported on Sept. 10 to the University Police Department.

The incident occurred 10 days prior on Aug. 31.

According to the daily security report, the primary charge against the assailant is rape by fear or force, and the secondary charge is sex by penetration with a foreign object.

Little information is known about the occurrence other than when it happened and where.

Detective Simpson of the University Police Department is heading the investigation but was unavailable for an interview.
