Actress Roxy Wood hosts Drag Bingo

By Brenda Ruedas

Students were lined up before doors opened to see the ever-entertaining Roxy Wood.

Associated Students Incorporated and Bronco Events & Activities Team hosted Drag Bingo Thursday for students to have fun and experience bingo in a different way.

Students who attended past events were some of the first in line.

“I attended Drag Bingo last year, so when I saw the posters around campus I made note of it,” second-year communication student Mia Martinez-Escobar said.

Students were given bingo cards and stamp markers to place the numbers called, while enjoying complimentary cookies and cupcakes.

Free face painting and a photo booth were also provided for students to take pictures with their friends.

As students started the game, each table had a variety of candies such as lollipops and chocolates placed on the center of the tables to enjoy.

Students were feeling pumped with the music selection ranging from Britney Spears to Lady Gaga, while they played a total of ten bingo games.

Four participants were chosen from the crowd to play bingo on stage, and every time there was a bingo winner Wood would make the players run around the room.

Prizes awarded included gift cards from Subway, Round Table, Chick- fil-a and Taco Bell.

One of the winners was Brenda Cea, a fourth-year computer engineering student who has attended Drag Bingo for the past two years.

Izabella Latrach, programming chair for B.E.A.T by ASI, and junior apparel merchandising and management student said this was the first event she has planned and was glad to see a great turnout.
