With a state of the art boardroom, a 225-player arcade and 20 upscale bowling lanes, Big Al’s in Ontario, California is the new hangout spot you’ve been waiting for.
Approximately only 20 minutes away from campus, Big Al’s offers a variety of activities to meet all your entertainment needs.
“The best part about Big Al’s is definitely the atmosphere,” Star Jeries, the event sales and marketing manger, said.
Big Al’s Premium Sports Bar & Entertainment Center is open seven days a week and offers something for everyone to enjoy.
Some of their amenities include a 55-inch high definition projection screen that plays up to nine games simultaneously and a 7,000 square foot arcade that features games like Pac-Man, smash and Temple Run.
The family-owned business opened its doors earlier this year on March 16 during March Madness, the NCAA college basketball tournament.
The idea came to the Al, the owner, when he could not find a family friendly place that also provided entertainment for adults.
“We like to think we set the bar when it comes to sports and entertainment, and we can’t think of a bigger or better splash than to open with one of the biggest sports events of the year,” Big Al’s general manager Craig McKellar said.
Having entered retirement after spending 35 years in construction, Al invested his life’s savings in his new endeavor.
His dream became a reality when he opened the first Big Al’s in Vancouver, Washington.
He then expanded to Beaverton, Oregon and Meridian, Indiana.
Ontario, California is Big Al’s fourth grand opening.
With Big Al’s success, they look forward to opening five more locations in California within the next five years.
Among other exciting amenities, Big Al’s always provides the popular cosmic bowling.
“Whether you’re looking for a place to bowl with your family, a fun arcade to play games at or somewhere to sit back and have a drink and eat some killer nachos, we have something for everyone,” Jeries said.
Big Al’s also offers a variety of daily deals such as the family fun pack at the bowling lanes, half off of all arcade games and happy hour that includes half off of appetizers, signature cocktails and beer.
They are also hosting a Halloween party, the “Carnevil Freak Show,” from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., Saturday Oct. 28.
