Cal Poly Pomona scores high rankings

Cal Poly Pomona has been ranked No. 4 among public universities in the West on the U.S. News & World Report “Best Colleges 2018” list, released last week.

This list ranked the top colleges and universities across the 15 states of the western UnitedStates.

Schools placed on this list were ranked based on qualifications including tuition & fees,enrollment numbers, acceptance rates and majors available.

Furthermore, with its No. 4 ranking in the report, CPP was also given second place among all ofthe California State University campuses put on the list. CSU schools took 10 out of the 15 spots on this year’s “Top Public Regional Universities” list for western schools.

The CSU schools that made the top 15 list are as follows:

” Cal Poly San Luis Obispo is No. 1.

” San Jose State University is No. 6.

” Cal State Chico is No. 8.

” Cal State Long Beach is No. 9.

” Cal State Monterey Bay and Humboldt State tied for No. 11.

” Cal State Stanislaus is No. 13.

” Sonoma State University is No. 14.

” Cal State Los Angeles is No. 15.

” Cal State San Bernardino is No. 16.

” Cal State Channel Islands is No. 18.

” Cal State Sacramento is No. 20.

In addition to the university being ranked, CPP’s College of Engineering was listed among oneof the best engineering schools and programs in the U.S. where the highest attainable degree is abachelor’s or master’s.

The college ranked on the list in the fifth spot among all public universities and was also No. 14among all public and private university programs across the nation.

With CPP being known as an engineering and science based school, this recognition is one thatwill continue to dignify the program and keep its reputation strong.

This is not the first year that the university has qualified for or been ranked on this list, with 2018being the third consecutive year in this particular group of universities being recognized.

CPP has made a strong showing in “Best College” reports in the past and is acknowledged forgiving its students a great value for their education with the annual tuition costs being close to$4,000 less than the national average annual tuition.

The university has other exemplary programs in departments including agriculture, hospitality,sciences and education.

The College of Business Administration was recently recognized as one of the nation’s bestundergraduate business programs in the same report.
