Cal Poly Pomona is expected to welcome a total of 24,500 students this new school year. According to Public Affairs, new to CPP are 4,100 freshman and 3,400 transfer students.

Students will have 1,000 additional parking spots available to them, while the 800 spots in parking lot C will remain closed for construction of the new Student Services Building.

Parking lots F8 and F4 will substitute as staff/faculty lots until 5:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Spearheaded by President Soraya Coley, commencement for 2016-2017 will feature free parking.

The Office of Student Life and Cultural Centers received 15 new club inquiries, including a study abroad club initiated by the International Center.

One-Stop enrollment counselors provide assistance with financial aid, registration, admissions, orientation and student account services.

Incoming students attended semester conversion information sessions during orientation.

CPP is scheduled to convert from the quarter system to the semester system in fall 2018. More information will be available throughout the year.
