Olive Lane reopened

By Joshua Manly

Olive Lane is set to re-open this week after being closed for
the most of the last year when construction on the new University
Library began. The new path opens the center of campus to
pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Fences will be taken down and construction equipment will be
moved from the former staging area showing that much of the
construction has moved to the interior of the building. This
re-opened road is a sign that construction is on target to be
completed in the Fall 2008 quarter.

Designed by Carrier Johnson Architects and constructed by
Rudolph and Sletten Inc. the project is slated to carry a $58.5
million price tag upon completion.
