Leadership Conference

By Joshua Manly

Novelist and former Los Angeles Times writer Alisa
Valdes-Rodriguez was selected as the keynote speaker for the 3D
Leadership Conference on Oct. 26.

Named as one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America by
Time Magazine and “Woman of the Year” by Latina Magazine,
Valdes-Rodriguez will lead the conference, which hosts panels
including President Michael Ortiz and ASI President Chris
Wyrick.

Valdes-Rodriguez embodies the conferences theme “What is
Leadership?” by providing a different kind of role model than most
leadership conferences would offer as their keynote speaker.

Students that plan to attend the free event have to register by
Oct. 22 and should plan to attend from 11 am to 6 pm.
