Are you ready to have a great time and party?
Students are all welcome to join the fun at Noche De Fiesta hosted by Cesar E. Chavez Center for Higher Education in collaboration with Associated Students Inc.
Noche De Fiesta is a festival that started 10 years ago with the purpose of celebrating the achievements students have made, the successes of the center’s events, organizations on campus that volunteered to help the center this year, and for students to appreciate the Hispanic culture.
“It is actually very fun and one of our biggest events. We usually have around 150 students that attend,” said Felipe Salinas, a second-year student majoring in civil engineering and social justice leader at CECCHE.
Noche De Fiesta will be held on 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 17, in the Bronco Student Center’s Games Room.
The event will provide free delicious Salvadoran food, live performances, music, and a photo booth for students to take lots of pictures with their friends.
Activities of the night include of playing Loteria and making buttons with images of honorable Hispanic figures such as Selena Quintanilla, Celia Cruz, Frida Kahlo, and much more to choose from.
A dance instructor will be at the event teaching basic dance steps for students to learn several bachata and salsa moves.
This event will be a great opportunity for students to network with organizations on campus to be involved and establish new friendships.
Make sure to bring comfortable shoes because there will definitely be a lot of dancing.
The event is semi-formal attire, so make sure to wear appropriate clothing.
