The 11th annual Tasting & Auction will showcase cuisine from some of Southern California’s most popular restaurants.

Although the event is not until May, early bird tickets are now available at the special rate of $75 per person.

Once the early bird special has ended, rates will go up to $100 per person.

If you plan on attending, it is recommended to purchase tickets ahead of time, since the event has sold out in the past.

Tickets will include entrance to the event, parking, a wine glass, plate and glass holder with the Tasting & Auction logo.

Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend, which will allow them to sample a variety of fine wines, craft beers and fine foods.

The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 6, 2018 next to Cal Poly Pomona’s Rose Garden and Aratani Japanese Garden.

Entertainment will include live musical performances and both a silent and live auction.

Proceeds from the auctions will go towards providing academic enrichment opportunities to CPP students.

Last year’s Tasting & Auction provided guests with a variety foods and drinks from over 55 local partners.  

Some of last year’s partners included Buca di Beppo, RA Sushi, Brio Tuscan Grille, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Francis Ford Coppola Winery among many more.

Beverage partners included, The Real McCoy Rum, Metro Ale House and Innovation Brew Works.

Foods from previous events included crab cakes, lamb chops, shrimp tostadas, penne ala vodka and pulled pork sliders.

The event will also provide a variety of desserts for those with a sweet tooth such as, gourmet ice cream with fun flavors like beer, tiramisu, cookies and crepes.

One of the dessert sponsors will include My Delight Cupcakery.

Some of last year’s sponsors included Majestic Realty Co., PepsiCo Foodservice, Sysco Food Service, Fairplex Pomona and Southern California Gas Company.

The event will also honor restaurants with a People’s Choice Awards ceremony.

Awards will include a variety of categories from best overall, best appetizer, best entree, best dessert, best wine, best beer, best spirit to best specialty.

Refined food lovers will be sure to enjoy an afternoon with friends and family.
