The Associated Students, Inc. is hosting the award-winning presentation, the Student Experience, on Thursday, Oct. 26.
The program was honored as the best new program through CSUnity for their winter presentation.
The Student Experience is an interactive presentation that helps students learn more about the involvement opportunities that are available on campus through ASI.
Many students have enjoyed ASI events in the past.
“The last time I attended an ASI event, I felt more involved and welcomed,” third-year food nutrition student Victoria Phinney said.
The event’s primary goal is to promote awareness about ASI to students and offer them a new and unique perspective about ASI through student employees and members.
The event will also provide greater insight about the different programs within the student organization such as the Bronco Events and Activities Team (BEAT).
“The event I attended was by the BRIC pool, which made the environment really fun, and they had great music and tacos too,” Phinney said.
BEAT puts together high profile events such as Midnight Madness, CPP’s Got Talent and BroncoFusion.
BEAT holds separate information meetings regarding volunteering for the organization, however, students can still obtain information here too.
This presentation also offers students more information about certain events happening on campus as well as other activities.
The quarterly event that began last year, allows students to become more aware about what’s available on campus.
ASI puts together events such as Puppies in the Park and the fitness REXPO.
The Games Room is also run through ASI, so students can learn more about the different tournaments such as the pool tournament and the Mario Kart tournament.
The popular Games Room is also home to many events, including the Paint on Canvas event.
Students will obtain more information about the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC) as well.
More information on programs likes the Joshua Tree Hike, Explore and the Aquatic Circuit training will also be shared.
The event offers students the opportunity to ask more in-depth questions about ASI.
If students resonate with the event, they can find out more on how to apply to work for ASI too.
Some students who have attended the previous presentations have even been hired.
ASI’s applications can be found online on ASI’s website.
The applications go through ASI’s Human Resources department.
The event can draw huge crowds ranging within 300 to 500 students all looking to learn more about the student organization.
Food and refreshments accompany the event, which makes it an ideal working lunch.
There are also opportunities to win prizes like t-shirts, sunglasses and carabiners throughout the event.
The Student Experience will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 26 at the Bronco Student Center in Ursa Minor.
