Students share their opinions on Coachella

In the midst of Coachella season, students expressed what they feel about the multimillion-dollar festival.

Andrea Cervantes| Fifth-year plant science student

“If I could afford to go, I definitely would because I love the 1975.”

Carolina Castro-Rubio | Third-year marketing student

“I haven’t ever been, personally, but I think that everyone should have the experience at least once in their lifetime.”

Erin Baquiran | First-year computer science student

“I feel like people don’t really go for the music, but for the fashion. Like Vanessa Hudgens always makes a statement, and it’s really cute. I wouldn’t go for artists or the environment, but for the experience.”

Marcos Guillen | Fourth-year business student

“I’ve always wanted to go. The lineup is really good this year so I’m really mad I’m not able to go.”

Nathaniel Pangan | First-year psychology student

“Overall the lineup is really diverse, there’s a flavor for most genres. A lot of artists who deserve to be there, are there. There’s much more variety than previous years.”

Paolo Paras | First-year communication student

“I think it would be really good to go. I think they’re smart for bringing in K-pop. But I’m just really happy that Childish Gambino is up there. I’ve always been a big fan.”
