Make a splash with budget-friendly swimwear

Summer is almost upon us, although Mother Nature may throw one
last thunderstorm judging from the weather lately. However this
recent temperature dip gives you some extra time to find that
perfect bathing suit ” or two ” for the season.FOR THE
LADIES:

The magazines give you tips to make your breasts look bigger or
camouflage a problem area.

Everyone has their preferences on where to shop and what brands
they prefer.

The big brands, such as Roxy, come out with lots of cute suits
each year. But in my opinion, why would you pay $60 to advertise
for someone? If I’m going to have the word “Volcom” inscribed on my
rear, I better be getting paid to do it.

For the college student on a tight budget, Forever 21 and
H&M came out with swimsuit lines this season. I personally
picked up a suit from H&M this year, and how could I not with
prices for bottoms starting around $12.80 and tops for $14.80.
Forever 21’s line is also reasonably priced with pieces starting at
$10.80.

One item you’ll see taking over the racks this season is the
monokini. You may think that one piece suits are not as sexy as
bikinis, but these suits turn heads. You can spot them on
celebrities such as Paris Hilton and on shows like “90210.” Forever
21 has monokinis for $22.80. Victoria’s Secret has also
incorporated them into their line. These pieces can get a little
more expensive, but technically you are getting a little more
fabric.FOR THE GENTLEMEN:

Your suits can be a tad expensive when you go for the mainstream
brands, but guys suits can carry over season to season. It’s worth
it to spend the money on a nice pair of trunks that fits right ” no
cracks, please. Another note for those that like white board
shorts. Wearing boxer briefs under them would be an excellent idea.
Water and white equal see-through.

When picking out a suit, don’t be afraid of color. Bright colors
have been a trendy thing this year. If color is out of your comfort
zone, the typical plaid, striped or solid designs will be a staple
in your closet for years to come.

Overall, pick a suit that you feel comfortable in. Constantly
having to adjust your suit takes away from your carefree beach day.
If you like frolicking in the ocean, buy something that is secure.
If you feel comfortable in your suit, you’ll feel sexy and look
sexy too.
